RELEASE NOTES / 0.1.13

More of the world.
More of the race.

The current Windows release brings new scenery, better race playback and more choices for your deck and your season.

19 October 2026 · Rogue Racing 0.1.13

A world beyond the barriers

  • All 30 circuits have photographic panorama backgrounds, using 23 landscape sources selected for the character of their locations.
  • Sun direction follows each panorama’s light source, including the circuit’s rotation and camera-tilt correction. Cloudy scenes use weaker shadows; sunset scenes use warmer light.
  • Planning Circuit and Technical Challenge use open, distant landscapes. Alpine Loop’s panorama is oriented for a clearer opening approach.
  • Volcanic Pass uses a ground tone suited to its Icelandic backdrop.

Better movement, better race coverage

  • Highlights use smoother position and steering interpolation through corners.
  • Crane, trackside, front-quarter and helicopter shots alternate between clips. The camera frames the drivers involved in the action.
  • Opening and finishing action remain part of the 30–60 second reel. Captions describe events involving the drivers shown.
  • The redraw and pit controls sit higher and farther outward on the wheel.
  • Every driver starts with 3,500 m of fuel. The gauge, fuel cards and pit refill use the same capacity.

A broader collection

  • The card pool contains 56 cards, with more ways to manage pace, resources and race situations.
  • Limited-use effects show a remaining use count. Pit Preparation and Miracle are strictly once per race; Service Kit cannot restore them.
  • Speed, Braking and Grip packs cost $80 in career cash and contain three themed cards plus two from other themes. The five-card Mixed pack costs $60.
  • New careers begin with 20 km/h acceleration and braking cards. AI drivers have developed starting decks, with five randomized opponent variants in Single Race.

Choices between the races

  • A playable story pilot adds three illustrated invitations after a race, shown in a shuffled order.
  • The pilot includes one longer storyline, two side stories and five individual events, with saved choices and outcomes.
  • Skipped invitations can return with different wording. Race incidents can create an additional encounter.
  • All 16 races remain part of the career. Results and choices create setbacks and different outcomes along the way.

This is the current playable story set. It is intentionally small while its pacing, rewards and choices are tested.
